Adam Rousell Ross was called home on November 24, 2016. Adam was born on January 4, 1984 to Arthur R. Ross Jr. and Lisa Olson, in Freeport, Illinois. Adam was the oldest of four siblings, Ashley Ross, Brandon Brewer, and Artrell Ross. He graduated from Freeport High School in 2002 and attended Highland Community College. Adam was employed at Ross Auto Glass, where he worked side by side with his Dad. He also worked at Freeport High School. His prior employers were Stewart & Associates, doing security for Amity Day Care and other facilities within the Freeport area. His true passion was working with children; he was able to establish a solid rapport with the children. Adam was well known for his unique sense of humor and corny jokes. Anyone who came in contact with Adam was sure to enjoy a good laugh. Adam was an avid Dallas Cowboys, LA Lakers and Ohio State Buckeyes sports fanatic. In his vehicles he listed to sports stations and was well versed in sports statistics. He enjoyed spending his time at home playing video games online with his cousins and friends, along with spending quality time with his nephews, and listening to all types of music. Left to cherish the memories of his life are his parents, grandparents, John Walker (Dorothy Hunter); sister, Ashley; brothers, Brandon and Artrell; nephews, Kadiss and Kamrin; extended parents, Brenda LeBlanc and Brad Nelson. Also surviving is a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, an abundance of friends, and special brothers, Rodney Wright and Tom McNeil. Adam was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur R. and Lucille P. Ross Sr. and Squire and Rita Thomas; uncles, Gary and Douglas Ross; and cousin, Kendra Monroe. Adam was well known and loved very much by his family and throughout the community. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 3, 2016 at Embury United Methodist Church, 515 South Galena Avenue, Freeport, IL. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday December 2, 2016 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Adam's memory.
