Debra A. Howard passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010, at home surround by her loving family. Debra was born August 20, 1957, in Chicago, IL. She was the daughter of Naomi and Leroy Howard. Debra had one son, Gary Lavelle Howard, who was the love of her life. Debra enjoyed life to the fullest, giving and receiving love and energy to all she touched. She especially adored her grandchildren and desired to give them the world. She is survived by her father, Leroy (Velma) Howard, Chicago, IL; one son, Gary L. Howard and companion, Bridgett; three sisters, Christine and Regina Howard, Chicago, IL; Beverly Howard, of Freeport, IL; three brothers, Kevin (Doyce) Howard, Detroit, MI, Leonard Howard and Jerry (Audrey) Howard, Freeport, IL; six grandchildren, Kymari Rucker, Detroit, MI, Alexis Howard, Garyeon Howard, Nyreek Bruce and Gary Howard, Jr., Freeport, IL. and Kylie Kampus, one sister in law, Jean (Dwayne) Howard, Freeport, IL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Special recognition to Darlene Brooks, William (Pumpkin) Johnson, Sherry and Sue Balles and Mabel McGee. She was preceded in death by her mother, Naomi Howard; sister, Patricia Joyce; brother, Dwayne “Bosco” Howard; Uncle and Aunt, Lonzo and Vernell Euell and a host of cousins.The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010, at New Jerusalem Church.
